HARRISBURG, Pa. - The Northampton women's soccer team remained undefeated, downing Harrisburg Area Community College, 7-0, on Thursday afternoon at the Hawks Nest.
Hannah Seltzer (Reading, PA /Schuylkill Valley) got the Spartans on the board five minutes into the game off an assist from
Danielle Besser (Long Pond, PA/Pocono Mt. West ), and then the floodgates opened, as Northampton scored 7 first half goals.
Grace Jacoby (East Stroudsburg, PA /East Stroudsburg North ) had Northampton's second tally, followed by
Angelique Herrera (Pen Argyl, PA/Pen Argyl), Seltzer with her 2nd goal, this one assisted by
Christine Farrell (Morrisville, PA/Pennsbury ), Besser assisted by
Victoria Collier (Bangor, PA /Bangor ), Farrell from Herrera and
Shanise Thompson (Aliquippa, PA/Muhlenberg County Career HS (KY)) with her first collegiate goal.
NJCAA national goalkeeper of the week
Montana Cassaro (Bangor, PA /Bangor ) made 5 saves to record her 4th shutout in as many starts this season.

Northampton, which improved to 4-0-0 overall, outshot Harrisburg 14-9.
"We continue to improve each game," remarked Head Coach
Matt Gurnari, "our chemistry is getting better and we are starting to spread the field more, but we also understand that we have some big-time opponents coming up on our schedule."
One of those opponents is this Sunday when the Spartans travel to NJCAA Division I Lackawanna College to face the Falcons at 12pm.
