BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Freshman Halie Cintron scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the NCC women's basketball team to a 76-65 victory over Middlesex County College in Region XIX action on Thursday night.

Melanie Palko added 16 points, including four 3-pointers, and Dee Brown added 15 points and 4 steals to lead the Spartans.

"I thought we experienced a few lapses in concentration tonight," lamented Head Coach Art Wolfe, "we need to be able to sustain our focus for 40 minutes and not get complacent ... but overall, I was happy with our effort."

The Spartans improve to 5-0 in Region XIX (9-2 overall) as they prepare for their showdown with defending Region XIX champion Brookdale Community College on Saturday in Lincroft, NJ.

Middlesex falls to 5-6 overall.
