EDISON, NJ - Despite early foul trouble and a six point deficit in the second half, the NCC Lady Spartans battled back to defeat Middlesex County College, 69-59, on Saturday afternoon.
Tiara Aziz scored 20 points,
Alyssa Gibson added 14 and
Halie Cintron had 16 points and 13 rebounds to pace the Spartans.
"Middlesex really came after us," commented Head Coach
Art Wolfe, "they have a real nice team and we needed to make some defensive adjustments in the second half to spark our offense."
The win propels NCC to 16-3 overall and 15-1 in Region XIX.
Middlesex falls to 10-8 overall and 8-6 in Region play.
NCC returns to action on Tuesday January 31st when they host Gloucester County College at 6pm.
