BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton Tennis team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 6-1 victory over Bucks County Community College on Tuesday afternoon.
The Spartans opened play by taking the doubles point, winning two of the three doubles matches.
Nicole Sharga and
Ashley Gildner remained undefeated in doubles play, as did
Raidy Alvarez and
Joel Aranda.
The team then went on to take five of the six singles matches, asAlvarez downed Michael Peachey 6-0, 6-1;
Geoff Hart topped Rohit Samuel 6-0, 6-0; Sharga defeated Fnu Chime 6-0, 6-0 and
Lucia Montes was victorious over Joanna Gocan 6-1, 7-5.
The Spartans return to action on April 18th when they travel to Media, Pa. to face Delaware County Community College.
