BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Nationally-ranked Middlesex College swept a Region 19 doubleheader from Northampton on Tuesday afternoon, downing the Spartans 12-1 in game one and 11-3 in game two.

Dana Fisher (Wind Gap, PA/Pen Argyl) was 2 for 3,
Destiny Koppenhaver (Bethlehem, PA/Commonwealth Charter ) was 2 for 2 and
Siera Klingle (East Bangor, PA/Bangor) went 1 for 2 with a run scored to pace the Spartans.
Bridget Pavelko (Bethlehem, PA /Notre Dame - Green Pond ) took the loss in the circle, allowing 4 runs on 2 hits with 4 walks and 1 strikeout.
Regina Bangcoro (Easton, PA /Easton) finished off the contest in relief, allowing 8 runs on 8 hits.
Game Two - Middlesex 11 | Northampton 3
Dana Fisher (Wind Gap, PA/Pen Argyl) went 2 for 2 with 1 RBI and
Regina Bangcoro (Easton, PA /Easton) was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI to lead the Spartan offense in game two.
Siera Klingle (East Bangor, PA/Bangor) took the loss with 2.1 innings of work, allowing 6 runs (5 earned), walking 8 and striking out 3. Bangcoro pitched the final 2.2 innings, allowing 5 runs on 5 hits.
Northampton falls to 1-8 overall and 0-4 in Region 19.
Middlesex improves to 12-1 overall and 6-0 in the Region.
The Spartans travel to Schnecksville, PA on Thursday to face Lehigh Carbon in a non-conference matchup.
