The last name Trach is synonymous with Northampton Community College. Following in the footsteps of his father, Jim Trach, Jr. joins Jim Sr. in the NCC Athletic Hall of Fame.

A standout baseball player for the Spartans, Trach earned All-Conference accolades as a third baseman during the 1977 and 1978 seasons. Co-captain of the 1978 conference championship squad, Trach held the NCC record for homeruns in a season and career, while finishing his career with a .323 batting average.

Named Head Coach of the Spartans at age 23, Trach was featured in Collegiate Baseball Magazine as the one of the youngest head coaches in the country.

An icon in various local amateur baseball leagues, Trach was inducted into the Blue Mountain Baseball League Hall of Fame in 2001 after finishing a 16-year career with a lifetime batting average of .336 and earning All-League honors 11 of his 16 seasons.

An accomplished coach, Trach has been involved with a number of local high schools, colleges and summer league teams. Currently Trach serves as an Assistant Coach at Moravian College.

Trach resides in Nazareth, PA with his fiancée’ Toni Evans and has two children; Zack and Heidi and three grandchildren; Raegan, Jake and Alli.
