Women’s Basketball
A member of the women’s basketball team from 2011 thru 2013, Tiara Aziz became synonymous with success, leading the Spartans to a 49-8 record during her career.
An EPAC All-Conference and All-Region 2nd team selection during the 2011-2012 season, Tiara scored 402 points in her first season, leading the Spartans to a 25-6 record and their first-ever Region 19 Championship. The Spartans advanced to the NJCAA National Tournament in Rochester, Minnesota, where they finished 6th.
The 2012-13 season was a historic one for Tiara and Northampton, as the Spartans earned the first-ever #1 ranking in school history, holding it for six straight weeks in December and January. Tiara led the Spartans to an overall record of 24-2 and an EPAC championship. Aziz was chosen as the Region 19 Player of the Year, EPAC Player of the Year, First Team All-Region, First Team All-Conference and earned NJCAA All-American honors.
Tiara, who received her Associates Degree in Athletic Training, continued her education and athletic career at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. With the Knights, Tiara led the team in scoring both seasons. She graduated from the University of Bridgeport with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Human Security.
An Easton Area High School graduate, Tiara now works as a forklift operator for CJ Logistics, an International logistics company.
