ANGEL LOPEZ - Baseball - (2015-2017)
The 2017 NJCAA Defensive Player of the Year, Angel Lopez left an undeniable mark on Northampton Athletics and the baseball program. Lopez became the first Northampton baseball player in the NJCAA-era to be drafted, being chosen in the 13th round by the Cleveland Indians in 2017, following Northampton's run to the NJCAA World Series.
A 2-time EPAC Player of the Year, Lopez earned NJCAA All-American honors following the 2017 season in addition, he was a 2-time All Region 19 selection and a Gold Glove Award Recipient.
Lopez ranks 2nd in Spartan baseball history in single season homeruns with 14 during the 2017 season.
Lopez played 6 years with the Cleveland Guadians and is now currently attending Florida International University pursuing a bachelor's degree in business analytics.Â
