There may not be a more decorated coach in the Lehigh Valley than Ed Csongradi. In 1999, Csongradi re-started the soccer program at NCC after a 13-year absence. From 2000 through 2006, Csongradi’s teams posted an overall record of 70-44-5, and an EPCC record of 55-30-4.  Csongradi’s 2006 team finished with a 13-6-1 record and captured the program’s first PCAA state championship since 1982, with a 7-4 victory over the Community College of Philadelphia, in what would ultimately be his last game as the Head Coach at NCC.

Csongradi was the EPCC Coach of the Year recipient during the 2000 and 2006 seasons after winning conference titles in each of those two years and was awarded the NCC Appreciation Award in 2006 for his efforts with the soccer program.

Since having become involved with soccer in the country of Hungary at a young age, Csongradi has always had a tremendous passion for the game.   Csongradi played for multiple universities in Hungary and Canada before arriving in the U.S. Once here, he quickly began getting involved in all facets of the game from playing, to coaching at all levels, officiating, to ownership of a professional club.

Csongradi holds a United States Soccer Federation “A” license, is a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), and numerous officiating boards.

Csongradi currently resides in Bethlehem, PA with his wife of 51 years, Valerie. He has two sons, and five grandchildren; three of which are involved with soccer.
