A hard-hitting second baseman, Pietrouchie batted .500 during the 1974 season, earning team MVP honors and EPCC All-Conference accolades.

Pietrouchie, who was named to the EPCC All-Conference and All-Tournament teams following the 1973-74 basketball season, helped lead the Spartans to a 20-5 record, including a 3rd place finish in the EPCC tournament, with a 56-54 victory over Luzerne County Community College.

After receiving his liberal arts degree from Northampton, Pietrouchie went on to an extensive amateur sports playing and coaching career, which included being named to the Blue Mountain Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999.
