Hall of Fame
Janess (Lyle) Jones was part of the golden-era of softball at Northampton, helping lead the Spartans to a perfect 78-0 record during her two seasons on the diamond.Â
Following her 40-0 freshman campaign and 38-0 sophomore season, Jones helped coach the Spartans during the 2007 season, where their amazing streak gained national attention when it reached 94-consecutive victories before their first loss. For this outstanding achievement, the 2005, 06 and 07 softball squads were inducted into the Northampton Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016.
The 2005-06 Charles H. Groman Award winner, Jones was a two-time All-Conference selection and was also named All-State in 2006.

Jones graduated from Northampton with an associate’s degree in funeral service education and has been a licensed funeral director in Bellefonte, PA for 11 years.
Jones and her husband David are proud parents to two children: Jackson and Jazlyn.
